DIE UNBEUGSAMEN 2 - Guten Morgen, ihr Schönen! ist ein lebendiges Gruppenporträt ostdeutscher Frauen aus den verschiedensten Bereichen der DDR. Ihnen allen ist gemeinsam, dass sie in der DDR aufwuchsen und von ihr geprägt wurden und diese Herkunft nicht als „Ballast“ verstehen, sondern darauf ihr Selbstverständnis und ihre Identität gründen. Erkundet und beschrieben wird, wie es wirklich um die Gleichberechtigung der Frau stand in einem Land, das von sich behauptete, diese Frage ein für alle Mal gelöst zu haben, auch in scharfer Abgrenzung zur Bundesrepublik. Zu Wort kommen Musikerinnen, Schriftstellerinnen, LPG-Vorsitzende, Arbeiterinnen, Malerinnen, Politikerinnen und Wissenschaftlerinnen. Sie alle berichten von den Mühen der Ebene, von ihrem Alltag, von ihrem Kampf um Anerkennung in einem repressiven Staat, der seine Gegner verfolgte, maßregelte und einsperrte. Es sind bewegende Geschichten aus dem real existierenden sozialistischen Alltag, die zeigen, wie mühsam um Glück, Selbstverwirklichung, Träume und individuelle Lebenswege jenseits der Staatsvorgaben gerungen werden musste.
